Julianne Field

Director, FRAIA, BOAQ No. 2965

Julianne is the director of Cairns based practice, Julianne McAlloon Architects with considerable experience in the management, design and documentation of a diverse range of projects. Julianne’s strong focus on design excellence together with her articulate approach to project management has successfully delivered notable, award winning projects across FNQ region over the past 22 years.

Julianne received numerous awards while attending her Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) at QUT. She was recipient of the following awards: The QUT medal 1991, The Board of Architects Prize 1990, The Deans Award for Excellence for Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering 1990, Andrew Brook Memorial Prize -1989, and The Noel Robinson Architects Prize, Dux final year 1994. In 1995 Julianne registered with the QLD Board of Architects Registration number 2965. She became an elected member of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects on the 21 August 2000, and was elevated to Fellowship in 2016 for her continued contribution to the community and architectural profession.

She has served as the regional secretary and regional co-chairperson for the far north Queensland region of The Australian Institute of Architects during 2014 to 2016. This voluntary position has allowed her to contribute at a local level to the architectural profession and community.
