The JMC Architects team have successfully completed the construction documentation for one of our largest and most significant community-based projects – Kubirri Aged Care Plus Centre for The Salvation Army. We are delighted and so are ‘the Golden Girls’ (Mossman District Nursing Home Committee) and the Douglas Shire Councillors and Mayor, Julia Leu that works commenced on site last week with the successful contractor.
The newly built center is scheduled to open in late 2020 and will provide a high-quality living environment in keeping with the special needs of older people.
The principal theme underlying Kubirri Aged Care plus Centre is a ” Home in a Garden” setting, providing a comfortable and soothing environment for residents. The centre leads the way with environmentally sustainable design and the planning is considered and respectful to its surrounding rural and farming community.
